Cotteridge ParkI have just stared a new blog to show some of the photographs I have taken of my local public park.
I used to go for a little walk to the park at the end of the road. Then I started to take my camera with me. Then I began to notice that I was was getting a nice variety of pictures from different times of the year. With the annual fête in the summer adding a lot.
At the moment I have only put a handful of pictures up as I believe in quality rather than quantity. I have more to add and I hope to continue taking more. ID cardsFor anyone who doesn't know: Britain doesn't have ID cards. We have managed quite well for decades without them.
But your pal and my pal, Tony, wants us all to pay about £35 for something that we don't need. I'm sure that crooks will love the opportunities they'll get from flashing fake IDs.
Please feel free to copy and use this image if you feel like I do. Greek Easter eggsGreeks fast for 40 days before Easter. This means that they don't eat any animal foods. For Easter they go to church and at midnight they can break their fast. These eggs are the first animal food they eat. The red is to symbolise the blood of Christ.
Marsia and Spyros boiled and dyed these eggs. They also made some kalaburi cookies. Photography BlogI've just started a Photographic Blog on Blogger as they load much bigger pictures and if you're lucky you can double-click on a picture and get an even bigger one. Here the photographs sometimes looked a little sad. See what you think.
The link has been added to the Sites list. This unhappy land! This England.Flags are flown up-side-down as a distress sign. And the name of the pub is 'Grant Arms' which kindly gave me the word 'rant' to go with it!
I've thought it daft to have 'England' printed on the English flag. But it would not have looked up-side-down without it. It was an unhappy accident just when England had lost the World Cup. GeishaThe day before her birthday (Her twenty-first I think) Jar and I went to a Sushi bar. Later on I took this little photograph of her while we had a coffee. I think that it has something of the geisha about it as the neck is featured so much. I just wish that I'd had my camera as I'm more comfortable with it. But doesn't she look sweet folks? |
